WILKA at City Cycling 2025

Published on 16.06.2025 by Sina Luckhardt

This year, WILKA once again actively participated in the nationwide STADTRADELN 2025 campaign – with the aim of strengthening climate protection, promoting healthy travel and sending a clear signal for sustainable mobility.

A total of 14 motivated employees took up the challenge and covered an impressive 3,563 kilometres by bike within 21 days. This saved 584.3 kilograms of CO₂ and earned us a remarkable 12th place in the municipality of Velbert.

A strong result – thanks to strong team spirit.

We would like to thank all our colleagues who contributed to this success with short journeys in everyday life or longer tours at the weekend. Every kilometre cycled counts – for the environment and for active cooperation.

Our three top cyclists in Team WILKA:

Heinrich Rzytki – 818.3 km

Stefan Goldmann – 785.6 km

Thomas Nöckel – 474.9 km

Congratulations on this impressive achievement!

STADTRADELN: Making cycling visible

The STADTRADELN campaign makes it clear that many people already use bicycles as a means of transport. However, sustainable change also requires the right infrastructure – safe, well thought-out and suitable for everyday use.

That is why the campaign is aimed not only at citizens, but also specifically at local politicians. By getting on their bikes for 21 days, they can experience first-hand where there is room for improvement in their community – and where the infrastructure is already working.

WILKA keeps moving

As a company with a responsibility to society and the environment, we are delighted to be part of this meaningful initiative. We are proud of our team – and will of course be back again next year when it's time to get on our bikes – for the climate, for our health, for the future.
